Yoga wednesday photos

I really need to start posting good photos considering that is what I can do. Anyways today bigger and rounder.
Before we start yoga class we all talk about new things that week in our pregnancy. So I mentioned how baby has been having crazy hiccups that last a really long time. My yoga teacher is a doula and a midwife so she is full of information and her response was that it could possibly be an intolerance to dairy. She asked if I was eating a lot of dairy (see a few posts back and you will know that's a big YES) She said it could be a problem when I'm breastfeeding and could make her colicky. Ugggg I hope that isn't the case but for now I'm not going to stop drinking my milk because it makes me sleep and I REALLY REALLY love my dairy. I'll have to watch my intake once she is born just in case.

Week 33

We have a mattress! No joke this took me like 45 min to figure out. I know I shouldn't be lifting things but I was so excited to see if it fit. When you're bored at home all day trust me this is a highlight. I also got a mattress pad to go with it mostly because I figured it would help make it even more snug and also for any messes. Getting the sheet on was a pain in the ass. I had to lift the mattress up and really pull. Maybe too many layers? I may reconsider the pad cause I can see this being a total pain. I dunno I definitely could be doing something wrong too. But the important part is there are no serious gaps so baby can get stuck and it looks damn cute. I just can't seem to figure out the whole bumper thing. I think it might need to drop the crib down a level? After dealing with the mattress I was sweating. I'm not a total lazy fat kid I cleaned the whole house and did a billion loads of laundry. Just hoping Blake will vacuum cause that hurts my back and Roomba (my robot vacuum) is being a dick and won't clean the whole house. Apparently I am not nesting yet cause housework is still BORING and I have to force myself to do it!

We had our second hypnobabies class last night. I guess all that protein talk wasn't so nuts cause we spent most of the class talking about health and basically getting enough protein. I found it fascinating since I'm already pretty obsessed with food. We get to keep charts of food and see how much protein we are getting which is good for me since I was concerned. I did it yesterday real quick and I was just under the recommended amount so at least I know I'm not depriving the little one. We'll see how today goes and where my number falls.

Just ready to head off to yoga for my last relaxing of the week. Tomorrow I have a meeting then I'm heading up to my parents. Another meeting on friday in LA, then the baby shower on saturday. SO excited for the shower to see everyone!!!

gimme meat

All I want to do it eat! I can't quite seem to get full or if I do the feeling lasts for a few min and then I'm hungry again. Maybe I'm not getting enough protein? That is the only thing I can think of. My midwife keeps telling me to eat more protein but its tricky. I'm not a big fan of eggs. They kinda gross me out but I force myself to eat them. And its not like I buy bacon or sausage very often. I did buy some sausage the other day and ended up eating a bite and then throwing the whole package away. The little chunks of who the hell knows what in sausage really get me. So then comes lunch. I won't eat lunch meat unless its from an actual sandwich shop. Just not a fan of deli meat. Seems so packed with sodium and additives that I don't need. Plus I stopped eating chicken. I used to buy chicken breasts but I realized unless they were slathered in a sauce the chicken was just gross. The texture of chicken is just plain weird. So then comes dinner. I love meat! LOVE a good steak or pork but with Blake being a veggie its a total pain in the ass to cook two meals. I can barely cook one. So we end up with some tofu product which is totally fine but I don't know if its quite satisfying my protein intake. Or maybe the baby just has a serious appetite.

Today was a super sleepy day for me. I ended up napping for a few hours which felt great. I think I had too much sun yesterday and it really drained me. I woke up really sleepy and couldn't quite get going. I was supposed to have a meeting but luckily it got moved till later in the week. Can't imagine trying to get all dressed up and talking about photography today. Yesterday we spent the entire day at the beach. I shot some photos of Blake surfing which was really fun then I actually went swimming. The waves were really small but I'm sure people thought I was nuts frolicking down to the water in a bikini. I was embarrassed cause I feel like a whale but fuck em, it felt really good to float. The water was freezing so I hope baby didn't mind. Then Blake tried to dig a whole for me in the sand but I wasn't so into that. Happy to have a tan for the first time in years.

Another random is the baby has been getting a serious case of the hiccups. I've felt them in the past but they are usually really mild and last a few seconds. The other night at 4am she had them for at least 15 min. I was freaking out thinking something was wrong with her but I guess its totally normal and she is just practicing breathing?? Then that day she got them 2 more times and they really lasted a while. Pretty fun stuff.

Still haven't done much to the babies room although the furniture is built. Threw all the bedding in the crib the air out and now its just sitting there. Just kinda deciding what to do next.......

Milk

I have a theory!! I think a glass of milk at night makes me sleep?? I'm going to test this out to make sure but I'm pretty sure the nights I have milk I have a better sleep. This makes me happy because I love milk. Yesterday I made the mistake of buying Horizons brand. Don't do it! It has a nasty taste. I usually buy a particular organic kinda but I noticed Horizon was 10 cents cheaper so I figured why not. Gross. I mean it will do when washed down with a chocolate cupcake but its not the best. Yes I can tell the difference between brands. I know its weird. If only it could be delivered to my door in glass jars......

9 fingers would suck

I'm pretty sure as the days go on I become more and more clumsy. Today while chopping tomatoes I almost cut my finger of. So much blood. I feel like I can't judge anything. I've dropped more and more things in the past few weeks then in my entire life. I was telling my Grandma about my salad dressing incident and she told me that after she had my mom my Grandpa told her no more babies cause it was too expensive (apparently she broke a ton of plates and things in the kitchen too) So I don't feel totally alone but I can't even imagine what is next. I have to cut portfolio prints today with an exact-o knife and I'm tempted to wait till blake gets home to do them. Its just too scary. Besides almost cutting off my finger baby is moving in some weird ways. It just feels like a lot of pressure. She is completely on my right side and she keeps sticking some body part really close to my ribs. Its not painful as much as its really really tight. I've never felt it like this before. I'm also feeling a bit crampy, nothing crazy but almost like really mild period cramps. I think that is normal? I don't think they are Braxton Hicks but I'm not really sure how those are supposed to feel?? All these new feelings are so strange!

after yoga photos

I look like I'm going to pop!. I've actually been feeling pretty good and for the last week I've been sleeping pretty good (of course waking up every hour to pee) but I go back to sleep and I think I'm pretty cozy. The new thing this week is my appetite. All I want to do is eat! I can't eat a lot since baby is taking up most of my room but I get hungry after every meal. I'm just rolling with it. I have a feeling these last few weeks I'm really going to pack on the pounds.
Today I dropped a glass bottle of salad dressing on the floor. It went EVERYWHERE, total mess. Not a big deal but seriously bending over to clean it was the most difficult task ever. I couldn't find a way to bend and reach. I kinda just stood there laughing. After I was done cleaning I was sore and winded. What a mess.

Mommy Blogs

I've mentioned before that I read a TON of mommy blogs. Some have a ton of good advice, some are filled with ramblings like mine, and some have giveaways. This is the site.

Also I added myself to the directory. I don't really have a super informative blog, its selfishly a way for me to bitch and complain and talk about fun stuff I like but I'm putting it out there so if you want vote for me. I think you just click on the banner below.
